@ianisfun: New studies have changed the idea that father’s lifestyle can’t impact his offspring! A HUGE thanks to Dr. Raffaele Teperino @epi_lab_hmgu for sharing his time and expertise! Isnt the placenta made out of the father's dna and the man's health directly affects the pregnancy experience? Ive heard that unhealthy fathers increase the chances of gestational diabetes and preeclampsia, and also that women usually will crave some of the fathers favorite foods while pregnant. And men were evolved as drivers of genetic diversity so their epigenetics have to have an influence on the baby.

Wait. So if I’m unhealthy and have kid 1 they’ll be unhealthy too. But if I decide to change my diet, exercise, and become healthy kid 2 will inherit that healthy lifestyle?

So your health at the moment your sperm fertilizers the egg is what is passed on? For a man in late 30s will losing weight and improving fitness over a couple years yield healthier children even though you're a couple years older?
