in what world does charging a 100km worth of electricity AT HOME costs that much it cost about 4.5 usd to fully charge from 0 to 100% and 100km would cost about 1 usd

tires on an electric car are more expensive and generally wear out faster because of the weight of the vehicle. you don't do less brake jobs unless you live in a warm climate where you don't experience salt during the winter if you do live in a salt and snow area You're going to spend more on brake replacements because the electric car doesn't use the brakes as often. therefore, the rotors get rusty faster. and if you decide to go on long trips, paying for charging stations on the road is the same if not more expensive than gas in many places.

That numbers are relevant only for USA. In Georgia 100km electricity costs 1$ when 100km gasoline for hybrid car costs 9.5 $. Also insurance difference is not like that. In 60 000km I saved like a 7000$ with my 2014 chevy volt. :)

Now add in the fuel cost and devastation of the earth to mine the cobalt for the batteries. The EV will never be cheater as a gas car.
