@anabelle.vangiller: These homemade marshmallows are fluffy, naturally sweetened, and so simple to make. Plus, you can add marshmallow root for extra gut-soothing benefits! Recipe below! Homemade Marshmallows ☁️ Ingredients * 1 cup water, divided * ¼ cup grass-fed gelatin * 1 cup honey or maple syrup * 1–2 tbsp marshmallow root powder (optional; they turn out perfect without it!) * 1 tsp vanilla (optional) * Pinch of salt Instructions 1. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper or grease with coconut oil. 2. In a mixer, combine ½ cup warm water, gelatin, and marshmallow root powder. Stir to combine. 3. In a saucepan, bring the remaining ½ cup water, honey or maple syrup, and a pinch of salt to a gentle boil. Whisk for 8 minutes. 4. With the mixer on low, slowly pour in the hot syrup. Add vanilla, if using, then beat on high for 8–15 minutes, until thick, fluffy peaks form. 5. Pour into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and let set for 4 hours or overnight. Cut and enjoy! • • • • • #homemade #recipes #simple #fromscratch #oldfashioned

If the marshmallows turn out perfect without an ingredient, why add that ingredient?
