The series is said to be set in 13th-century Northern Thailand, and the costumes are said to be Lanna attire. Although the costumes may look similar, they are not the same. In traditional Thai dress, the shawl is wrapped across the chest, with the fabric draped over the arm. However, as far as I have researched, this style, where the sleeves and chest are connected as seen in the current costume, does not exist in traditional Thai attire. Although Northern Thai people share similarities and historical connections with the Shan people, none of their traditional costumes feature this kind of square neckline. Instead, their traditional attire is draped diagonally over the left shoulder. Therefore, this costume is Burmese traditional attire!!!
