HOW MUCH MORE ARE PEOPLE EXPECTED TO TAKE? 😤 I've just watched the news, and I'm sitting here thinking… seriously, how much more are ordinary people supposed to find? The weekly food shop costs a fortune. Filling the car up is painful. Energy bills are ridiculous. And every time you think you might finally be getting your head above water, something else goes up. But here's something I don't think gets talked about enough. What about parents who are still financially supporting their adult children because they can't find work? We've spent years raising our children, doing our best to give them a good start in life, and now we're watching them apply for jobs, struggle to get interviews and wonder how they're ever going to afford to become independent. And of course we're going to help them. They're our children. ❤️ But where is that extra money supposed to come from? We're trying to pay our own bills, think about our retirement, keep a roof over everyone's heads AND help our grown-up children find their feet in an increasingly expensive world. It's not that they don't want to work. They want the opportunity to work. And then we hear politicians talking about things like a £2 bus fare cap, as though that's the answer to what families are dealing with. I'm not saying cheaper transport doesn't matter. Of course it does. But people are worrying about whether they can afford the food shop, how long the petrol will last and whether they'll have anything left at the end of the month. And for those of us who are self-employed, there's another worry. If we don't work, we don't get paid. I'm 56. I'm thinking about retirement, my own financial future and how I can create a bit more security. That’s why I got started with a income stream that is growing by the day - digital products. Comment Digital and I’ll send you my free guide on learning more. #costofliving #foodprices #retirement
