I mean the only problem I can see with a limited MC is how they designate which gender you pull for. is it automatically the same/different as the free MC or is there a way to switch between? will they have to make 2 separate models, 2 sets of animations, 2 sets of dialogue, generally twice the work as a regular character to make it work? or will they make Caelus/Stelle the "canon" mc and Stelle/Caelus the "other" mc?

Yeah, I hate the MC. They're basically y/n and I really don't like self inserts. If It wasn't for all the shipping I probably woudn't hate them. (Also yeah, they have a "personality" but that doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things).

not only hsr btw...and personaly I don't think it's a problem cuz on others popular gacha like zzz gi wuwa the mc always have the same form I mean they have the same hair same eyes...ect gi mc looks the same after 6years if hsr mc became a main push in 5.7 knowing the new planet will be a finality one TB will look so peak Like, they really going to stand out and the gameplay will be incredible with a completely new design... maybe HSR will give us MC for free... but for a main push character, I would be surprised...

It's probably because HSR used Honkai Impact characters to catch the fanbase and start, then used them again in Belobog (Bronya and Seele), then again in the Xianzhou (Luocha), then again in Planarcadia (Acheron), then again in Amphoreus (The whole flame chasers), then again in Planarcadia (Himenkos backstory). The most popular characters are far from being the main trio, Kafka was also another main push for the game start, you could also add Blade and SilverWolf (also a HonkaiImpact based off) not March or Dan Heng. It's the reality of the game, that's the marketing strategy they used from the start, it's obvious this would happen when their most popular planet was the one un which the main story was about HI3 Variations. Idk why that surprises you, practically no one started because of the main trio
