@doctor.nicolej: It’s the collab you didn’t know you needed: Dr Nicole x Dr V!!! Some dark spot serums can actually make your dark marks worse, and one of the products we rated got a 2/10. I'm so excited to share this collab with Dr V (@SkincareByDrV )! We rated five dark spot products to find the best dark spot serum for dark skin and skin of color, and to call out the ones that could make your hyperpigmentation worse. My new favorite is the @celimax.global Retinal Shot, which got a 9/10 from me. It has 0.1% retinal, niacinamide and Matrixyl peptides, so it fades dark spots while being hydrating and helping a little with anti-aging. It's also fragrance free. Dr V gave the @Anua UK Official Niacinamide 10% + TXA serum a 7/10: 10% niacinamide is a little high, but it has tranexamic acid and she likes it. The Good Molecules Discoloration Serum got a 6/10 because it's cheap and fragrance free, but there isn't much in it for dark marks on darker skin. I gave the Axis-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum a 5/10 because the fragrance and papaya extract can irritate darker skin and leave you with more pigmentation. Dr V gave the Topicals Faded Dark Spot Peel Pads a 2/10. Glycolic acid, mandelic acid and retinol all in one pad is way too irritating. Which dark spot serums should we rate next?
