Barely ever hear anyone talking about it so here I am telling you all that if you’re looking for a place that’s full of culture, affordable food and drinks and off the beaten path then definitely consider this. 1. Public transport is completely FREE!!! You can hop on the busses and trams easily and just explore the city and the surrounding areas. 2. The Church of Saint Sava is one of the most incredible churches I’ve ever seen!!! It’s STUNNING, as is many of the random orthodox churches I stumbled upon. They’re literal works of art 🤌🏼 3. The sunsets from the fortress overlooking the Danube and Sava rivers are soooo magical, esp when there’s the guy playing flute in the background. I think I might have teared up there… 🥹 4. Many of the dinner places will have live music/band playing music as you dine. It’s such a vibe both to watch and participate! 5. And most importantly, the food scene there is awesome!
