@theheatherednest: That’s right - our Christmas China that I’ve had for over 25 years came from Dollar General. We’ve been married 35 years and haven’t always been as financially secure as we are now. When I bought this Christmas China back in 1999 it was all we could afford at the time. My kids grew up with this china every Christmas so now it’s here to stay. If there’s one thing to know about me is that I love a good deal and I determine how much I like something based on the price! Now there is certainly a time and a place for good quality, but cutting corners is absolutely acceptable! Give yourself permission to layer your place settings as well! The small tree plate is from Hobby Lobby (literally $2 each!) and the blue print medium plates I found on clearance last year at Homegoods.
