@monstrofarm: What, no soil? I wanted to try this Aglaonema in LECA and see how well she adapts, and eventually, how big she could get. Here’s how I did it: 🪴 First, I took her out of the pot and gently worked the soil loose. I wanted to make sure I removed as much as possible. 🚿 Next, I rinsed the roots and carefully removed as much of the remaining soil as I could. 💧 From here I rinsed the LECA. These clay balls will help hold moisture while leaving spaces for air around the roots. 🫙 Then I added a layer of the LECA to the bottom of my vase, positioned the plant, and filled in around the roots. It took some adjusting, but after adding a few more clay balls it finally stayed where I wanted it. 🌱 I added a small reservoir of water at the bottom, keeping the water level below most of the roots. ☀️ From here I placed her under my growlights where she’s getting bright, indirect light while I keep an eye on how she adjusts. Once she starts to settle in I’ll start feeding her at a low rate. She looks good in here, but she still has to agree with my decision.
