she needs more water though..a 40pack of water is only 5 gallons..and 1 gallon per person per day is recommended. then remember you'll need alot of water for beans, rice, pasta, and other things

Mom, order some of those paint buckets with lids from Home Depot and mylar bags so that the dry food don’t get moist… you are not alone!, there are hundreds of us preparing…

she's smart !!! We lost power for 3.days one winter just from some.snow and ice making trees fall on power lines. Being prepared is SMART !

I would like to add something beans from the dollar store is great to buy because they also come with seasoning packets. seasonings are one thing people forget but our bodies needs it. if it already have its own packets that provides you more instead of constantly getting it from your stock. also that one bag can feed a family, large bags like what your mother bought means it's now sitting in open air for long periods of time or you have to cook it all in one go.
