Four Sabrah Light Tanks, along with their support vehicles, were transported from Cavite to Iligan City aboard the Philippine Navy’s BRP Bacolod City. This operation highlights the importance of the Navy’s sealift capability in transporting military equipment and supporting AFP units deployed across different parts of the country. According to the Philippine Navy, the voyage from Cavite to Iligan City took three days. The four Sabrah tanks will be pre-positioned at Camp Sultan Barodin in Iligan City, the headquarters of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, where they will await further deployment to other areas in Mindanao. According to the Philippine Army, 12 of the 18 ordered Sabrah tracked light tanks have been delivered, with the remaining six units still pending.
