You can see he was suffering and struggling with his emotions he was already over with his wife like the love was already over however the new feelings he got towards hyeonjae was unbearable and he was not able to navigate it and hyeonjae was relying on him and he felt he abandon the person who though will stay so it was too much well written storyline
