@fromwhereistand5: Republicans in Kansas have had a veto-proof majority for 16 years. in fact, they've had control of the Kansas legislature my entire life. in this election they've driven around in their bus telling you that they are taking Kansas back. but it's important to understand what they are trying to say. where I come from leadership bears responsibility. so to have these individuals telling Kansas voters that after 16 years with a super majority they just need to trust in them a little bit more to do these things that they've had a veto-proof majority to do, is ridiculous. And they won't expand medicaid. It is so annoying to deal with for my 23 year old non verbal autistic child. We've applied 3 times this year and they still need more proof she's disabled. Other states, they just verify no income. But in KS they don't allow those over 19 to be on Medicaid unless pregnant or with young children or disabled.

but the fear is...everyone says what they think you want to hear, then they get in office and vote what benefits them...not their constituents. you wait their term out and try to vote them out and the same cycle happens over and over. doesn't matter the political party either...it happens on both sides. I want the candidate that's going to have my interest in mind when they vote...and then VOTE THAT WAY!
