I’ve seen dogs that have been behaviorally euthanized.. yeah I think it’s safe to say that was the better option

Always love your content and education. This is totally off topic but is there a monetary cap on care in your opinion? It sorta touches on this, because if you bubbled the dog, did the behavioral route, blah blah. And I guess I’m not speaking to rescue owners but maybe just Joe Shmoe average pet owner?

We can’t save them all! It sucks having to euthanize but sometimes it has to be done.

My youngest had lost a cousin due to a dog. Found out the dog should have never been around children, especially small children. She was not even a year old and would be in the 4th grade now. Some dogs need to be put down because there is a safety issue.

I saw a Facebook post where someone found a kitten and was wondering what to do with it, some of the comments said, take it to the vet, so the person took it to the vet and then updated in the comments that the kitten had to be euthanized. This person was getting so much hate over this the amount of people who can’t understand that euthanasia isn’t always really a choice is insane.

Spot on that people can'tlook past their emotions. Dogs (and cats) were created to coexist with humans peacefully. If they are constantly in fear or snap and maul people they are SUFFERING. BE is peaceful and a public health resource we have to use. People are getting seriously hurt (or killed) every day because anti-BE people put dangerous animals over victims.

You made me feel so much better. I put a cat to sleep that was 9 years and cryed non-stop and started biting my kid and me really bad and the vet couldn't find anything wrong. so I put him to sleep because He was very unhappy all the time.

say you got a site with 67 cats . 2-3 are in terrible shape . what do you do with your resources ? you spay and neuter the healthy adults and you place the kittens with anyone who can get them to an owner. you don't prioritize the 2-3 in bad shape . it's triage care not maintenance.

I dont understand keeping a dog with a bite record alive. I will put my dog down if she tries to bite anyone. im not putting someone else at risk to keep my dog. I love her, shes an amazing dog but has ✨️issues✨️that cant be 100% fixed. she will always have issues with regressing in her behavior.
