@ruacequen: PSG Beat Barcelona 4-2 to Stay Top of the Champions League The European champions just ended the best start to a season in Barcelona's history — with half a team missing. 😱 Tuesday night at the Parc des Princes, Matchday 3 of the Champions League: PSG 4-2 Barcelona. Désiré Doué broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, pouncing on a misplaced Lamine Yamal pass and driving a low shot into the bottom corner. Ten minutes into the second half, Xavi Espart — on his Champions League debut — sprinted through the PSG defence to make it 1-1. Then the final twenty minutes exploded. Lucas Hernández rose highest at a corner to head PSG back in front (72'), Yamal answered with a stunning tight-angle toe-poke (79'), and before Barça could breathe, Vitinha smashed a half-volley into the bottom corner two minutes later. Fabián Ruiz tapped in Achraf Hakimi's low cross in the 86th to seal it. The win came at a cost: Ousmane Dembélé limped off in the 20th minute holding the back of his left thigh — replaced by Ferran Torres — and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos went off injured too. Dembélé's Champions League scoring streak is over. The numbers: PSG have 9 points from 3 and sit top of the league phase, now unbeaten in 13 straight Champions League games (9 wins, 4 draws) — equalling the club record. Barcelona drop to 6 points and suffer their first defeat of the 2026-27 season, ending an 11-match winning run in all competitions. Barça turn their attention to El Clásico on Sunday. PSG march on toward a third straight European crown. Reporting by ESPN and Sports Mole, with coverage from the Sweden Herald.
