I know a father that had this attitude. Blame the mom - he had kids with the wrong woman. No - he had kids - period! The guy I know alienated, ignored the kids and blamed the mom. Meanwhile he was provided with dates of parent/teacher conferences, a date of a surgery, dates of sporting events, date of high school graduation, birthday party invitations, holiday invitations, and never showed up because he “didn’t want to be around the mother”. He didn’t make alternate plans. For some reason, an absent parent (mother or father) think playing the victim by blaming the custodial parent gives them an excuse for being a shitty parent. Grow up.
