@ebbymoyer: If in doubt, NORA alllll the way! Other “gentle edible herbs” are chamomile, peppermint, lemon balm, and you can also use all the medicinal food spices like garlic, ginger, etc *in normal food like amounts* - always best bet to steer clear of tinctures and oils of stronger aromatics unless you have checked first! #herbalmama #pregnancy #herbalism #notadoctor
It sucks that a lot of clinical studies have excluded women in the past and purposely exclude pregnant people

I thought nettle is unsafe to consume during pregnancy because it can potentially stimulate early contractions but also it’s used to start your period?

I’m curious, they say vit k doesn’t transfer through breastmilk well, which is why they put the shot, does it transfer well through pregnancy? Would it be safe to assume baby wouldn’t need vit k shot after birth? I’m on the fence about it 😭

can you drink this even when you aren't pregnant? I'm 1year postpartum and this sounds like it would help immensely!

We call raspberry leaf “cranky uterus “ tea. It helps my daughters monthly with that first day cramps and bleh. I have one who hates drinking tea but she feels so much better when she does that she does it anyway!!

Stinging nettle grows wild down at my creek. I harvest wild raspberry leaves 3 days a year. It’s fascinating to see the areas/ environments/ minerals they grow in

The midwife I trained with suggested this basic blend for women all the time as a regular tonic tea. Add some bilberries or elderberries and Yumm!

Hey! Totally agree with everything here and LOVE teaching these natural recipes and making sure they’re not lost in the age of AI. I absolutely love learning more natural remedies and tips and tricks to use myself and to show others!! Just a note on vit K - during pregnancy and immediately after your body is prothrombotic and we often worry about DVT/PE from over clotting so increasing that isn’t necessary the best (although the amount you’re taking in from tea probably isn’t enough to be of concern RE this!!). In terms of Bubs - vit K doesn’t cross the placenta or through breast milk very well/easily hence the shot for babies at birth!
