I can't even ask to see a specialist yet because my GP said we don't have enough evidence and they'll just say no.. it's like we're gathering intel for a court case and my body is the guinea pig.

I was laughed at, told it’s just anxiety, told to drink peppermint tea, told the gyne would not see me because I was too young to have it anyway. Took me 9 years to get them to listen to me, they cut me open found it and BURNT IT (ablation). Now one year and 3 months after that surgery my pain is significantly worse I never had any relief. I had scans and a consultation with dr ma li in Singapore who told me the ablation has caused scar tissue that has attached my uterosacral ligaments to my rectum and found a lot of deep infiltrating endometriosis. Not only is it almost impossible to get the diagnosis, the surgeries they are giving women are INCORRECT and DISABLING. Not only should we be discussing diagnostic improvements, we should be discussing what experience the surgeon cutting into these women has. I was diagnosed as “stage1” with superficial endometriosis by that surgeon, I am now just over one year later stage 4 and have DIE and Endometriomas on both my ovaries. Please please for god sake don’t let this happen to more women. I was 19 at the time of my surgery, I’m 21 now. I had to quit my dream job to lay in bed 24/7 while fighting constantly to be seen by a specialist. This isn’t right, this isn’t fair.

Also younger girls have it. I sturrgled with it from 11 and had to go on the pill and the pill doesn’t help but I still use it just to not be in pain for longer amounts of time. And we should also learn period struggles and conditions in schools

Make mandatory for doctors to learn patients full health history and punish them with £20 charge every time when they say: "it's just a period take paracetamol" "loose weight", and make mandatory for them to ready the newest clinical researches about endo and other specific illnesses.

Adenomyosis needs to also be talked about more. I’d never heard of it until I was diagnosed. I’ve suffered since I was 21yo and now at 43 I am close to getting a hysterectomy to hopefully end my, not just monthly but daily pain .
