I had acute sudden onset of pancreatitis over 20 years ago. Every doctor that came in asked me about my alcohol intake. I don’t drink. I also had a pseudo cyst on my pancreas which took time for it to resolve. I eventually had my gallbladder removed. I was hospitalized for 3 weeks, and the pain was debilitating, I don’t remember the first few days in the hospital, but do remember having a central line put in by a surgeon right in my room. They couldn’t get an IV line in my arms, and that was another horrible experience. If they didn’t get in the central line, I probably would have died from infection.
