Learned long time ago that when I hear “I’m gonna” that there’s a silent “not” in front. Thought my kids to tell me when they were doing XYZ and they learned to do it when I asked. “Gonna” doesn’t cut it.

My son was at his in-laws and the MIL called for her daughters. They both yelled, “what?” My son pointed at his wife and said his kids will never do that. If a parent yells for you, the only response will be, “Coming!” I got a call from his MIL asking how I managed that and I let her know I never expected anything less. 😏😏
