I am mayo white and I went to my local grocery store's meat counter once asking for Halal meat, said it nearly perfectly, and was genuinely annoyed when the meat manager pronounced it wrong...

NonniMousse :
Since people are asking why some won't eat halah, Halal meat requires the animal to be slaughtered while a prayer or invocation is spoken (such as Bismillah in the name of Allah). Some Christians view this as meat dedicated to a deity outside of the Christian Trinity, comparing it to New Testament warnings against eating food sacrificed to idols (1 Corinthians 10:19–20). the New Testament teaches that food itself is neutral, but if a believer feels it is wrong to eat meat prepared under another faith, eating it violates their conscience and becomes a sin for them (Romans 14:23). some Christians choose to abstain—especially when eating around other believers who find halal practices objectionable—so they do not cause a fellow Christian to stumble or feel confused.

I work in a food distribution warehouse, there are hundreds of different halal stamps and some master cases are stamped while the individual cases are not... I guarantee that everyone has eaten halal

I live in America, if it’s not Halal, I don’t eat it, I don’t buy it no more, especially with the regulation roll backs.

Topher :
Question. Since Halal and Kosher are so similar... if the animal was killed and prepared the same and both a Muslim and Jewish faith leader (or whoever is meant to do the prayers) pray over the meat or foods... would that make the food both halal and kosher?
