@ladbibleireland: Celebrities have signed an open letter to the UK government supporting Sally Rooney. The letter comes after the Irish author's publisher confirmed they could no longer sell her books in the UK due to her support of Palestine Action, which the British government proscribed as a terrorist organisation in July 2025. Notable global names on the list include actors Tilda Swinton, Susan Sarandon and Daisy Edgar-Jones, as well as Irish celebrities CMAT, Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Alison Oliver, Sharon Horgan, Kneecap and more. #ireland #irish #irishnews #viral #sallyrooney

Sally Rooney is one of this generations best writers and the fact they’re punishing her over this is an absolutely outrage.
