wait your orthodontist never mentioned this?? mine told me to get cleanings every 3 months while I have braces Instead of every 6. also recommended kugig toothpaste because of the zinc citrate for bad breath. nobody wamed me braces would be THIS much work

working in ortho, the most heartbreaking thing on debond day is seeing straight teeth covered in white plaque spots. plaque triggers both chronic bad breath and demineralization n. zinc citrate is clutch bc it actually kills odor-causing bacteria instead of just masking it with mint, while hydroxyapatite restores the calcium and phosphate needed to rebuild damaged enamel before cavities hit. but pls don't just rely on brushing—water flossers and interdental brushes are non-negotiable!!

for everyone asking about aligner breath: look at the zinc citrate & xylitol in KuGIG, it targets the actual bacteria, not just masking it

i had the same thing while i had braces my teeth were so yellow kugig toothpaste will literally be your best friend ovs just brush with it daily and the yellowing literally started fading away hope it helps x
