I think it’s more of a storytelling issue than a content issue. Many history textbooks and classes are dry and boring, just throwing names and dates at you. But find a historian who’s also a great storyteller (HCR, for example), and history is riveting.

My great great grandparents are buried in the same grave in the middle of County Galway countryside. We’ve visited the abandoned church. No grave markers remain. So there they rest in the midst of grazing sheep. It feels perfect.
