it also teaches you a little bit of grammatical structure too. in that "tinte Amarillo" example, the word comes first and color adjective comes after. it's not "yellow dye" it's "dye that is yellow"

I completely agree… so long as the language is based on letters and not symbolic like Chinese. It would be impossible to understand something like that thru a videogame without some significant underlying foundation.

it breaks my heart that my father used unintentionally to do something like this for me. I'm a "native" Spanish speaker and when I would play games he would switch the language to Spanish so he could understand. now I hardly speak spanish and wish I kept up with it more. I'm gonna start now for my kid.
