this video doesn't tell you it's nothing on the charger "clunks shut" that's the car that makes that noise, the charger is in the car quite literally that plug on the wall is just a big ass USB cable. It just shakes hands with the car and sends the voltage when the car is ready. there is very simple circuitry in the EVSE which is called electric vehicle service equipment commonly known as a "charger" which isn't a charger it's just a communication cable that applies voltage
