I just saw a lot talking about this. Thailand is cultural rich country so why not just use their own traditional clothes, im sure they would have. And if you're doing this kind of historical shows a research is a must.

I'm from northern Thailand and I'm offended by them too. I was waiting to see my culture in this series since they said it inspired by northern Thailand and for the most part, what is showcased in the series is the culture of the Shan State and Myanmar.
