Thank you Ana, Next Please
Years ago when I struggled with depression the thought of being alive day after day seemed dreadful and exhausting. No matter how many good days or moments I had there was always a lingering voice in the back of my mind robbing me of joy and happiness, reminding me of the darkness I’d return to later on. Or when I’d lay in bed at night after everything slowed down I was confronted with the empty void in my heart that couldn’t be fulfilled no matter how much I had or what I was trying to distract myself with. Nothing worked. And it was just an endless cycle. Anyways, it’s been a long time since I’ve felt that way. Putting these pictures together made me emotional because I’d always believed that the Lord can bring others out of darkness, but not me. And that was a lie I’d believed for so long. Walking with the Lord doesn’t mean a perfect life with no suffering, but it does mean a life of hope and joy that remains through every circumstance. The Lord has completely restored my life and has blessed me with more than I could ever imagine, and that’s just who He is. I am not a perfect human being and I am the most undeserving of the life I live, but that is just who He is. He is good. He is merciful. I still have my moments, I still get sad. I still question Him in moments when I’m confused. I am still human. And He knows that, yet still chose me. Now I have authority through the power of the Holy Spirit that overcomes all things. Nothing in this life can overcome the Lord and He brings all things together for the GOOD for those who love Him.
