@thebronxzoo: Happy National Reptile Awareness Day! It’s feeding time for the Indian gharials in JungleWorld. These fascinating reptiles are armed with 110 interlocking teeth. They use their highly sensitive snouts to help them target their prey and latch on to fish. At the zoo, our Indian gharials are fed twice a week, and are trained to station to specific cones placed in their JungleWorld habitat to ensure each individual receives an adequate amount of fish. #nationalreptileday #bronxzoo #gharials
