@podiumsundays: If you want to turn someone into a fan of an F1 driver, don’t show them a highlights reel. Show them THE race. 🏁 From Max Verstappen’s Brazil 2024 masterclass to Checo Pérez’s fairytale Sakhir victory and Fernando Alonso holding off Michael Schumacher, every driver has that one race that explains exactly why we love them. The comeback drives, the heartbreak, the first wins, the defensive masterclasses, the pure unadulterated chaos. THIS is why we watch Formula 1. 🏎️ Which race would YOU make someone watch to become a fan of your favorite driver? And what race did I leave off the list? #f1 #formula1 #maxverstappen #lewishamilton #landonorris

I’d argue Oscar in the Australian GP in 2025. Getting stuck at first in the grass, being counted out, then somehow getting it back on track and driving with a fury and passing on the outside was something out of a movie

For Ollie, I would have done 2024 Saudi Grand Prix when he filled in for Sainz. With only one practice session under his belt, he almost made it out of Q2 and finish seventh in the race.

The difference between most drivers being in the 20s and then the two uncs in 2005 and 2008 is so funny

I'd say for Checo is Malaysia 2012, second season, rain race, almost beating Alonso's Ferrari in a Sauber for the win, he showed the world that he should not have been underestimated for being young and that he was the real future of Ferrari

I think for some of the younger drivers some of their F2 races could also work, like Gabi's P22 win in Monza or Franco's win in Imola w a last lap overtake. Even tho its not F1 its still a great showcase of their skills and where most of us first knew about them or their talent

In the past 10 years of following F1, I’ve fallen in love with countless drivers, each for different reasons and through different races. Some of the most incredible stories of adversity, perseverance, and the underdog defying all odds have unfolded in this sport. And time and time again, F1 reminds me exactly why I fell in love with it in the first place. It’s more than the racing—it’s the stories, the resilience, the heartbreak, the triumph, and the sheer unpredictability of it all. No matter how many seasons pass, this sport never ceases to remind me why it will always have my heart.

My grandpa was an avid F1 fan. I never really got it. But after he died from cancer, I missed him and I took a deep dive into F1 as it felt like I connect with him again, at least a little. And now I just simply love the sport, and all that that includes. I wish I could tell him that I get it now. Because I do and I wish I did sooner. But this video reminded me of so many big and powerful moments that’s been throughout the years and how much he loved following them. This sport gave me a little something of him back while I get to make new memories all at the same time 🥰.

You were spot on until VBs. The 2019 Australian win is the correct answer. A horrid 2018 and then a complete domination of that race. And then let’s not forget the like. “To whom it may concern….” That’s my note. Thanks for coming.

You could say the same thing about British GP 24 as Monaco GP 24, last lap commentary absolutely goated. 2024 Season was just a banger all the way from Start to end.

I still think Charles magnum opus was actually monza 24. An insane call and a legendary drive to pick up his second monza win. Truly a generational race

For Nico Hülkenberg, appetize yourself with the 2012 Brazilian GP. He was ahead of Lewis before he lost control into 44 and they both dnf’d. Who did Hulk beat out for p3 in Silvo 25?

Lando’s Hungary 2025 win for me. Pulled off the one stop from P4. Hearing from the commentators that it wasn’t gonna work for sooo many laps of the race until it did. Held off a fast approaching Oscar that had the tyre offset and defended really well all the way until the end.
