Yes! 25 years of being misdiagnosed and mismanaged by an top rated endocrinologist. It hit me hard- how did I not know? I trusted him. It took a female neurologist to provide the correct diagnosis quickly. When the endocrinologist questioned the labs she ordered, he became quite confrontational. I had to quietly terminate him as my provider. Unfortunately my insurance provider noticed my abrupt termination of care/ referrral and they discovered his egregious behavior in his notes. He was placed on peer review. Trust your gut! Heathcare today has changed significantly-Ask questions and don't give up.

I could tell you some horror stories just about myself. I was misdiagnosed and I was told 4 days before Christmas that I had Congestive Heart Failure. I was in a trance through Christmas because I was stunned at what I had heard.

most doctors nowadays have no time for us. It’s like we’re wasting their time with what’s going on with us. They barely look at us. They speak too fast for you to understand in your appointments over before you really get anything done yet. They won’t let you through the door without paying that co-pay.

Was told I had permanent kidney damage from preeclampsia. No one had looked at my entire egfr history and when I finally pieced it all together it turns out I had unexplained kidney damage since before I was ever pregnant. Went to a rheumatologist for mystery autoimmune symptoms and she discovered I have microvascular triple positive antiphospholipid syndrome, signs were there all along but no one tested for it because everyone accepted the preeclampsia story without looking into it.

I am one of the women who was victimized by my GYN and then 10 other doctors saying that my pain and suffering was psychosomatic ( to cover up the problem) and nothing wrong! until I finally found a doctor who wasn't afraid to fight big Pharma, my health insurance and everything else to fix the problem that was not my fault he saved my life

A neurologist only looked for MS and then told me to sit in the sun with a Vit D deficiency of 11. Finally went to a different neuro and by the 3 rheumatologist that looked. lupus, Sarcoidosis and Chronic Reactive EBV

Women with symptomatic Tarlov Cysts get misdiagnosed constantly. Either they are told their symptoms are in their head OR they are misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia etc. In reality the cysts in their sacrums are causing severe pain and neurological dysfunction but only a small handful of doctors around the world care or acknowledge the condition.
