JOHN WATTON FLINTSHIRE DIGITAL PREDATOR JAILED AFTER TARGETTING 10-YEAR-OLD DECOY "POPPY" In 2026, John Watton, 52, of Moorfields, Holway, Flintshire, was jailed for 16 months at Mold Crown Court after sending explicit messages and an indecent image to someone he believed was a 10-year-old girl. The investigation revealed that the dangerous predator systematically targeted an online profile between March 16 and March 27, 2025. Although Watton admitted the child was "too young", he used Facebook and WhatsApp to transmit graphic descriptions of sexual acts, demanded naked pictures, and sent an indecent photograph of himself. At the same time, the target claimed to be in the bath. Owen attempted to excuse his illicit behaviour as an unintentional "whim" upon capture, but digital forensic logs proved he ignored the decoy's explicit statements that she was uncomfortable.
