@msblinggqueen: Being harassed at Tompkins High School just to Vote Early wasn't on my Bingo card for today! POV: I came to early voting at Tompkins High School in Katy, Texas and a complete stranger decided to confront me on being disabled! My car is BRAND NEW and still has its temporary tags. My permanent registration/plates are designated for ISA disabled plates — something law enforcement can verify. But because he didn’t see a placard hanging in my window, he decided to confront me, tell me I could get a $500 fine, tell me I “don’t look disabled,” AND question why I would be driving a car like this if I were really disabled. 🥴 Sir… WHAT does the car I drive have to do with my disability?! Invisible disabilities are still disabilities. You cannot look at somebody and decide whether they’re “disabled enough.” And yes… the ENTIRE interaction was recorded. 🎥 I spoke with the KATYISD police officer on site, showed him the video, and he went to address the situation.
