Electrician here, but I've heard these titanium hammers are better for shock absorption. Even if I was a framer, I'd be too scared to bring it to a job site cause you know it'd get stolen.

claws chip off all the time. titanium doesn't replace steel for strength. one guy on my crew almost lost his eye when the claw broke and went in his eye. 34 years framing, $23 hickory handle fat max. I've gone through 3 in that span.
