Sadly . My wife told her sister to go to the police because her kids told her about sexual abuse from their father . Sister did nothing and my wife went to the police. We never saw those 3 kids again until they were adults . Sister in law stayed with husband.

I let authorities know about some kids I babysat that were being abused. I was friends with their mom for a long time. She got divorced and remarried to an horrible man. He abused her 2 kids from the previous marriage. When they learned I wasn’t scared of their stepdad they started telling me everything. The thing was the girl I met their mom through was a very close friend. I had known her friend since she was like 3 years old. At the time they were in their early 30’s. I not only lost my friendship with their mom. I lost my close friendship with my friend and her family. I don’t care those kids were more important and I did what was right. She wasn’t protecting them. Her and her husband ended up getting out of it but couple years later she ended up divorcing him finally. He attempted to kill her son, he was the one who had started talking first to me.
