People think 20% sounds like a lot to ask, but this has been a problem for over 10 years. We haven’t gotten raises beyond 1 or 2% per year, and then have actively had our pay cut by 5% twice, along with years of furlough. 20% would really just get us back to even.

I live in Sacramento, not having the state workers in office was amazing for traffic. You can tell the days they get to wfh, my commute time is cut in half

He’s not even willing to talk. We’ve had our salaries jacked for the last six years. Since the pandemic we have had to work and not be paid our full salaries. We are told that we are valued, but our wages are the first to be cut and never given back. We’re tired.

As a California resident , the governor’s stance on both this and the billionaire tax is appalling. I’m not a Democrat or a Republican , but ensuring people who run the state government are compensated fairly shouldn’t be up for debate.
