The people saying the doors can be opened manually; only two doors in the vehicle have accessible manual hinges and they are the front two. The rear door release is located in such a small tiny crevice near the cupholders on a door. In an accident with smoke, there’s no way you’d be able to find it. Coming from a Tesla owner

I honestly don’t understand why everyone is freaking out. Every single door on the car has a manual release. The ones up front are so obvious that people naturally use the manual release than the button. The ones in the back are in the door pocket because there are usually children in the back and you don’t want a child accidentally opening the door when you are flying down the highway or something. Most people add a pulley to it so it’s even easier to pull. Should the government maybe force them to have the pulley as standard probably but overall this is being blown WAAAAAYY out of proportion and frankly I think the media is largely to blame. They keep acting like these cars are oh so different that when people are in a panic they aren’t going for the logical place. If two cars get into an accident they say just that but if a Tesla is involved it’s always “a Tesla and another vehicle”

Battery on my 2022 honda passport died and I couldn't get into the trunk with no battery power to get my booster cables! Dumbest thing I've ever seen until this video 💔

China banned purely electronic car doors in February this year. Every car to be sold in China from January 1st 2027, should have some kind of physical mechanical release mechanisms both inside and outside of all doors.

Absolutely critical — especially for the passengers who may not know any tricks how to open when no lever present. This is a life or death situation. Nevermind anything else.

All four doors literally have manual latches for this extremely rare scenario. Stop spreading misinformation.
