A clot that forms deep in the leg can break loose and travel to the lungs, which is called a pulmonary embolism and is a medical emergency. Not every clot carries the same risk, and the type, location, and treatment all matter🫁 I haven’t examined Jalen or seen his medical records, so what I shared was general education and not a diagnosis or prediction for him. It’s a good reminder for all of us to know the warning signs: swelling, pain, warmth, or redness in a leg, and sudden shortness of breath or chest pain.
