Yeah he’s alive, The Satellite flickered and powered off at the ending then the credits rolled, people forgotten that scene, it’s mean’t to show that Capri got inside of it cause she has to influence it first like she does any other electronic, aswell the people in the show said they seen a “red light shoot up at the sky and mechanical parts”, also going by real life logic, Signals travel faster than missiles which Capri is a AI-Like Model (Not Ai exactly) but she still uses the same bases, so likewise the missles couldn’t catch up to her anyway she was way ahead of the missles before they even launched to begin with.

many people thinking that but honestly it doesn't quite make sense since the only way for someone to move their mind somewhere else is through the soulkiller (I think it was the name I lwk forgot) and D hasn't got one since only arasaka and copied by kang tao, and also we could see that even though Capri lives inside D's mind she didn't replace him like she was trying to do with Talia, so the only possible thing is that only Capri got transported to the satellite and D died there
