Day 5 and FINALLY we’re getting to the bit that changed everything for me 😂🌾 I wasted so many starters sticking with 1/1/1 and wondering why I couldn’t get the strong, active starter I wanted. Then I tried making mine much thicker with 1/3/2… and that’s when things started happening. 👀 Today we’re using: 20g starter 60g flour up to 40g water My biggest tip… don’t chuck all the water in at once. Start with less and gradually add it until all the flour is incorporated. We want her THICK, not pourable. Then mix, mark the jar and leave her to do her thing. This is the stage where I start getting far too excited about how much she grows 😂 Save the 1/3/2 ratio for later & follow for Day 6/7, tomorrow we’re checking whether Signora Bolla has finally taken off xx * #SourdoughStarter #SourdoughBeginner #SimpleLiving #RomanticisingTheOrdinary #LifeAtHome
