The court heard that Oliver Lonie, of Fairfield Road, Salisbury, was investigated over offences in Wilton involving the production and downloading of indecent moving images of children. Digital investigations revealed 53 illicit videos, including 34 Category A videos—the most extreme legal classification, depicting children being raped and subjected to sexual torture—alongside 14 Category B and five Category C videos. Lonie admitted three charges of making indecent moving images of children. Despite the severity of the material, he was handed a two-year suspended prison sentence, avoiding immediate time behind bars, alongside a ten-year registration on the Sex Offenders Register.
