Hey Sean, thanks so much for the shout out. So with VAY I’m turning ‘volatility risk premium(VRP)’ into dollars and cents. So VRP is the difference b/w implied vol and realized vol. When you sell options you want this difference to be as big as possible. IV is what you are getting paid(theta) and RV is effectively what you have to pay(gamma). So VAY is option yield(ATM Call/S) annualized / realized vol. when IV=RV, that option is fair. The Chrome Extension is 1month tenor. Hope that helps…& ask any questions you want. Thx again!
