@fireplaybook: This is why I’m such a big believer in simply staying invested. Over the last 10 years, $10,000 invested across these funds produced dramatically different results—from roughly $29K in GLD to nearly $98K in VGT. But there’s an important lesson here: the winner of the last decade isn’t guaranteed to be the winner of the next one. Higher returns often came with more concentration and more risk. VGT and QQQ had incredible runs, while VOO and VTI offered much broader diversification. For me, the takeaway isn’t to chase whichever fund finished #1. It’s to build a portfolio you understand, keep costs low, stay consistent, and give compounding enough time to work. Ten years can do a lot. Imagine what 20 or 30 can do. #ETFInvesting #LongTermInvesting #CompoundInterest #FinancialIndependence
