@thebkelly: @Susan Nicole how do long distance relationships work? Not For the faint of heart! But very worth it!#longdistance #relationships #longdistancecouple
How far is the distance? My year and a half relationship was long distance and I don’t think I’ll do that again

My husband and I have been married for 13 years. We have been long distance for almost 2 years. I don’t think we could’ve done it when we were younger and I am so fortunate we are mature enough to handle this now lol. We will be reunited in February ♥️I learned how to play COD and that’s how we spend time together when he’s not in town lol.

I firmly believe that long distance relationships definitely can work out. I’m so happy for you that yours is. Though, you need to make that move to Pittsburgh! Haha.

1000%. I’m in US and he’s UK. Takes major commitment and communication. Both have to be fully in it or just ain’t worth it.

I did it for a year and a half. The sacrifice and the tears were worth it. But you’re right it’s about connection. How to keep that connection going. It’s emotional not physical that keeps the intimacy going from that distance. I did 1500 miles. We made a point to talk daily even if it was 5 min. We texted during the day when we could. We cooked together every weekend when time allowed. Then it worked to move across county to be together. The peace I feel made it worth every second. I get to be with my best friend everyday. Good luck to you. It’s not easy. But it’s so worth it with the right person.

At my age, long distance works for us because we are both very comfortable in our own lives and know how to cherish the time when we are together. Trust is absolutely key.

I was was in a relationship with someone that lived close But our schedules made it feel like we lived in different states. You are right. We had to be honest open and independent and have our own lives. And make it a priority to spend time together When we could.

You can’t just say I’ll see ya when I see ya. Intentional is a great word for it.
