Im interested in the psychology of it, while also curious of there life as a child. what brought them to the point of doing so. just the psychology and history of there life. I lived in a really bad household as a child. with much abuse. I dont sympathize with there choices they made. but to learn with why they think and what caused. idk

the true crime community makes me fucking sick. true crime has always felt gross to me, but i started studying criminology & criminal justice (i have a bachelor’s and am currently in the process of applying to go for my master’s) and as such, have been given access to real crime scene photos, real & unfiltered interviews with criminals (including pedophiles), real unpublicized autopsy photos, and real face-to-face interactions with family members of murder victims. seeing the raw, gritty reality of those crimes and how they have affected the families of victims firsthand isn’t something anyone with any sort of empathy, compassion, or the most basic of human decency could possibly find entertainment in. the people who would get EXCITED at the idea of having access to the things that i do are sick in the fucking head.

i have a degree in forensic psychology. whole reason why i took that course is because killer’s minds interest me and why they ended up the way they did. i might KNOW how to do such a thing, doesn’t mean i think about doing it and want to😭

I think it’s normal to be curious or fascinated, even imagine what you would’ve done differently, morbid hypotheticals if you will. All whilst not having the actual intent to kill. The human mind is weird like that, unspoken, hard to admit without social ramifications, but still true.
