Thank you for sharing. Home is all the places you’ve encountered love. Trust whatever is pulling you towards Germany is bc you’re being called to do something that needs to occur from there and not here. and the right decision doesn’t always feel good. Cannot it has been a year already. Been in Finland for 14 months now. I still say that it is the best decision we ever made. I am legitimately afraid to see what actions are taken around midterms, it is going to get ugly.

this year has been so hard for me also. I got laid off from a dream job in January with no notice and minimal compensation. I had to move across the us to take care of my mom and I miss all my friends and my fun life where I used to be. but where I live now has more Democrats in office and better social programs.

Im a German American who wishes more of my family history would've been saved. They left for here during the 1920s when they got pregnant because of the economy. My grandpa famously got the fam in trouble as a kid refusing to salute during a parade! They read German language newspapers and kept up with the horror back home... the home I'm now leaving with my trans kids for the same reasons! 🥰
