@pressdemo: Seven students were arrested and several were injured Tuesday in an afternoon fight on the campus of Montgomery Junior Senior High School in Santa Rosa, where police said a 15-year-old student wielded a knife in the altercation before fleeing ahead of officers’ arrival. The intervention of a school employee, who positioned themselves between the armed student and another student, may have prevented additional violence, police said in a Tuesday evening update. The Hahman Drive campus was placed on lockdown for about an hour after a 1:10 p.m. call to the Santa Rosa Police Department. A total of 16 officers responded to the school and vicinity, searching for the armed student and others believed to have been involved. On Tuesday evening, Sgt. Patricia Seffens confirmed seven students had been arrested, and that investigators believe the incident was gang-related. See the link in our bio to read more.
