A better contract? They currently have no contract, and CalHR is refusing to negotiate. They ignored the proposals by SEIU until the last day and then just responded “no”, no counteroffers, just a no. Thats not negotiating or bargaining.

At least pay them their full salary and give them the raises they’re due if you’re going to send them back to the office!

State gets a $2 billion windfall and still doesn’t want to pay workers.

GO SEIU!!! I’m so proud of the people who were able to show up today to support state workers. There are so many negative comments… we need to have more empathy and understanding as a community.

No need to worry. I am a state worker, and I can tell you the turn out was sort of weak and only one person in our group was out. Have fun in the rain, I guess

If everybody works from home, what does that do to Real Estate values in the commercial space. I’m sure it’s wonderful being able to never have to leave your house for work. But long-term is at the best for our nation.

dude the only reason theyre on strike is because they’re mad that they can’t work from home anymore as if it’s not a job and your getting paid, the pandemic has made people so entitled, i’m embarrassed

Without paying? What's the Union Dues is for? You should be paying them for that one day off
