@bloombergbusiness: Billionaire Ken Griffin said investors are “almost certainly” in the midst of an artificial intelligence bubble as many companies are still grappling with just how much they’ll spend on the technology and how it will transform the economy. #money #economy #Tech #AI #markets
"What we don't know ..." 100% pumper logic. The upper limit of what AI can demand for pricing is set by the modest premium over open source models companies are willing to pay for the illusion of corporate accountability, slightly better performance, and to not just have people do the work they have been doing fine up until now anyways. The second these companies try to charge what they would need to to cover their losses and obligations, 95% of their customers are going to either walk or go to any generic inference provider to get Deep, Kimi, or GLM. Nvidia won't even stand in their way, since they make money when people just need the hardware. This version of American corporate AI that can provide luxury inference to solve problems beyond the reach of the human mind is the "flying Tesla" of the AI industry. I don't doubt that AI will improve, but so will Qwen 27B and DeepSeek.

A bubble doesn't mean the technology is fake. The internet was real in 2000 too; the prices just got there first.

It’ll You would think a CEO would understand basic economics. The more companies competing in AI and the more platforms offering it, the cheaper and more efficient the technology will become. It’s called competition, and it drives innovation while lowering costs. You’d think someone running a company would have figured that out by now.

If literally everyone thinks its a bubble how can it be a bubble. Everyone just wants to be the one who “told you so”. Look at the earnings, look at the demand, look at the supply

Don’t think he was only speaking of companies. While it’s really amazing what AI can do, this country isn’t ready to pick up the losers.

They talk about success as if it’s a certainty. Of course we can retrospectively identify winners like the railroads and the internet. We have no idea if ai will be a net success

They are not there to solve humanity problems. Ai is there to replace workers and give corporations complete control over everything.
